    A much softer WOD at Crossfit Hamptons – sorry to miss FGB, its the best WOD ever!

    5×3 deadlifts – first time doing deads in almost a year without pain. I worked up to 365 for 3 and it was easy. Perhaps this is evidence that sitting down all day is terrible for you

    So I did Barry’s Bootcamp yesterday. Don’t judge: it was a trade with my wife. I go to that hellhole of yuppiness and she comes with me (finally, after eight years) to a CF wod. What are the odds she holds up her end of the bargain? Probably in the realm of 20-1.

    Just ran into AVA on the street. Great guy. Can’t believe he is the father to another human being. Time flies. #og #thatstandsforoldgym

      glad to hear someone else has suffered through the Barry’s Bootcamp experience. The only upside of that place is the weird dark red lighting in there makes everyone look awesome.

    tried a different fgb strategy for first time (thanks for the rec matt)… i typically try to descend rep scheme bc its mentally easier, but tried ascending reps and it felt great. first round felt like a warmup rather than a redlining effort from the start. this version will now be known as fg not so b. not a pr but happy with breathing and consistency.
