Mike Pushing through one of yesterdays WODs.  Congrats again!

WOD:
“Hope”
Three rounds of:
Burpees
75 pound Power snatch
Box jump, 24″ box
75 pound Thruster
Chest to bar Pull-ups

“Hope” has the same format as Fight Gone Bad. In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep.

    Good warm up. Started getting light headed and short of breath, so passed on the wod. No sleep and no food in the tank contributed. Time for a bike ride in the park.

    Saw Dr Fidler again this morning for some work in my shoulder. Will see him twice a week for 2-3 weeks. Good news is I can do pushups and some presses this week

    after a frustrating week, came in to open gym with one goal: get over the fear of bending the elbows in a HSPU.

    Thanks to Mary, I worked w/ 3 abmats, then 2 abmats + 15# plate, then 2 abmats + 1 10# plate. Left the gym feeling accomplished. Not much more you can ask for 🙂

    B and I have a farmers market on our block every Sunday. They’re selling Brendan’s favorite milk for a really great price –
    It’s usually 6.50 from the store but here it’s only 4.50 with a 1.50 return for the bottle… so only 3 bucks a bottle.

    If any of you guys or girls like it too I’d be happy to pick up some extras. We’re getting 7 next Sunday for our house!

    P.S. 6.50 is what stores in Brooklyn charge.. so it probably goes for more like 29 bucks in Manhattan! So it’s an extra good deal for you guys.

    What Kelly did ^, except slower. 30:18. A miserable yet very fun experience. Top regional athletes did this in sub 20 minutes!

    Practice HSPU. Got my first four kipping HSPUs ever…and finally got one strict! One of two major goals for 2012 down…need to squat 200 now!

    PCs @ 135#
    C2B Pullups

    20min ish. Gout foot didn’t help landing the PCs…not good to have one knee yelling at the other foot.

    100 pushups, 100 pull ups, ran around park at medium pace and got a milkshake, looked at random animals at petco.. that’s a pretty good sunday in my book.
