    As I sit here on the way to my seventh crossword puzzle championships (yes, another “cross” thing to be mediocre at) I’m still wondering why Scrabble-Crossfit never became the new Chess-Boxing. #deepthoughts #cryforhelp

      But for reals the finals are tomorrow – don’t worry you still have time!!! It’s a can’t miss party filled with lots of crossword cookies and LOTS of single chicks (ok, so 95% are widows but whatever, you have a good shot at hooking up with someone 4x your age). Like fish in a barrel.

      I laughed out loud while reading this in Whole Foods bc walking is hard. My knees are done. I think you have sold all of us ok these crossword championships.

    The only thing I rx’d was the crying

    Warmup – couldn’t string doubles – crying rx’d
    Wod – started rx, got 6 dubs, cried again, switched to scaled – 14:26
    Post wod – more crying rx’d

    Greatful the open is over. I’m going to look at this post next year as a reminded not to sign up

    Met my goal of doing all workouts rx, first time ever. More importantly perhaps, it was the first time I’ve enjoyed the Open! Thanks for five weeks of great spirit and friendly competition.

    16:57 scaled. Thanks for suffering with me, Joe! 😀 Thrusters were my weakness, new jump rope was on point for single unders. Now to work on double unders…Woohoo I made it through my first Open! Maybe next year I’ll do something Rx πŸ€”

    I just took a minute to reflect on the past 5 weeks and I only just realized how far I have come in my shoulder recovery. I spent my time doing heavily scaled workouts, working at the lightest weights to focus on perfect form and getting my shoulder stability back. Five weeks ago I could barely hold a 5# dumbbell overhead. Today I crushed scaled 17.5 with unbroken thrusters and zero shoulder pain! Yipperie!!!! Goal for next year is to be healthy enough to complete all of the open workouts!

    hips/back didn’t feel good but wanted to get it done, kept a v reasonable slow steady pace… and still blew up. feel good today though so ill call it a win.
