CrossFit Open Workout 17.1

For time:
10 dumbbell snatches
15 burpee box jump-overs
20 dumbbell snatches
15 burpee box jump-overs
30 dumbbell snatches
15 burpee box jump-overs
40 dumbbell snatches
15 burpee box jump-overs
50 dumbbell snatches
15 burpee box jump-overs

Men use 50-lb. dumbbell and 24-in. box
Women use 35-lb. dumbbell and 20-in. box

    15 ring dips
    20 bicep curls
    15 ring dips
    30 bicep curls
    15 ring dips
    40 bicep curls
    15 ring dips
    50 bicep curls
    15 ring dips

    For the curls, alternate arms using 2 20# dumbbells and perform from a seated position.

    Small request: maybe we could extend open gym a few minutes this weekend? Looks like there’s a dearth of boxes for 17.1 and some unnamed people (moi) couldn’t stick around past the hour because of certain circus commitments πŸ™‚

    – every box jump was super painful for my foot so those took an eternity / snatches otherwise were ok but just had to keep moving
    – I didn’t write down my tiebreak time but it’s on my scorecard at the gym

    Snatches felt ok. Pretty much had to break them up in sets of 10-15. Legs were gone in the end. As always, burpees (in any variation) killed me. I always let them get to me. I need to get better fighting through them. Feet were like lead weights in the first few jump overs. But all in all, felt good.

    I hate to admit it but all the running I had to do in this past 8 months actually helped a lot with the burpees. My messed up shoulder prevented me from going Rx, but in the end, I am happy with my result.
