We prioritize creating a safe and inviting environment for everyone, regardless of where you may be in your fitness journey, with a program that consists of constantly varied, functional movements at high intensity. Our members show up each day for one hour to work hard, listen to some beats and give high-fives. We stay focused, fully present and compare ourselves to no one but ourselves.

Founded in 2009, CrossFit Metropolis is a small-group training facility located on the ground floor at 156 East 100th Street (just off Lexington Avenue) in East Harlem in Manhattan. We follow the training methodologies of CrossFit and focus on basic gymnastics, powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting and metabolic conditioning. We are a tight-knit community of dedicated, hardworking, everyday folks in pursuit of innovative, effective and fun ways to achieve fitness.

What makes CrossFit Metropolis different? We follow classic-style CrossFit programming, so our workouts are simpler and more varied than at many other CrossFit gyms. We believe this is the most effective approach for both beginner and expert level athletes, but you’ll have to see for yourself!
